A lovely home away from home Positive: Really homely, well decorated house that was perfect for the 4 of us. A home away from home with loads of thoughtful touches. We’d chosen it for the decent sized lounge that enabled us to chill properly after exploring Chester and it was lovely. Negative: N/A

Average Stay Marred by Rigid Service Positive: The property itself was decent and provided a standard, functional stay. Negative: Despite requesting a later checkout more than 24 hours in advance—and knowing the property was not booked for the following day—the staff flatly refused to accommodate the request. A 10:00 AM checkout is already quite early for most travelers, and the refusal to budge felt unnecessary given the lack of an incoming guest. Furthermore, the staff were not particularly friendly or empathetic when discussing the matter. The lack of a "can-do" attitude or even basic hospitality made the stay feel transactional rather than welcoming. While the physical space is fine, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I likely won't be returning due to the rigid policies and cold reception.

Positive: The cottage was lovely, beds very comfortable, showers were nice, overall all six of us really enjoyed our stay. Negative: No outside table and chairs.
